Sunshine Coast Summer Fashion Staples

Living on the Sunshine Coast is such a luxury. We are so lucky with our wide variety of beautiful nationalities, stunning locations and relaxed lifestyle. It is little wonder that people from all over the world are flocking to live here. Most of us enjoy our chilled and casual style of clothing — something we can wear to the office, beach or night out.

Most trends come and go with the seasons, but other trends stick around for longer. All the clothes in our store are bang on trend, but we have deliberately chosen them with the view that they will still be trending for a while. Keeping up with trending fashion pieces for every season would be exhausting and very expensive.

When curating our online clothes store full of beautiful pieces I love, I had one thing in mind. All of the clothing had to be timeless and versatile. I’m really into layering up and mixing and matching a wide variety of pieces.

My daily ‘go-to’ at the moment is our relaxed dress from jac + mooki. We sell this funky dress in sage, indigo and jet. I have all three colours, and I live in them. During winter I chucked them on over my long-sleeved t-shirts, jeans and boots. I wear it to work styled with a big belt, to the school bus run, down to our local markets with my converse high tops and even out to a cocktail party glammed up with some killer heels. As a lovely little bonus on the side, it makes me feel fun and young which is always a good thing. Made from 100% cotton slub jersey with a subtle hi-lo hem, stylish pocket stitch and panel raw edge detailing.

The other funky dress I love and live in is our Nati Dress from Primness. It feels luxuriously soft, made from 100% cotton jersey / 80gsm. The Nati Dress is a fluid longline dress. A relaxed fit in a flattering A-line shape. Round neckline and an asymmetrical hem. Flowy mid-length with twin needle hem detailing. The perfect go-to dress for every day. I love this stunning papaya and the beechwood, but we also sell it in black/noir and a pretty peachy colour.

Everyone loves a fashionable dress to chuck on and go, especially us on the Sunshine Coast. Walking along Mooloolaba Esplanade, down Hasting Street, at the school bus stop or local markets there is always someone wearing a fun and funky dress. We have a range of other pretty dresses perfect for our summer Sunshine Coast days.

Maybe it’s a Eumundi, Noosa Hinterland trend but most days I will see a stunning lady strutting down the streets with her long flowing pants wafting along with her. I love the look. So cool, relaxed and stylish. We only have two styles of long flowing freestyle pants in store, but I do love these designs.

Not sure about you, but I have to admit that every time I wear this style of pant, my hips do seem to start to sway, they make me feel so free. Do you love wearing long flowing, stylish pants and dresses?
