Juicing may have the ability to energise, alkalise, detox, and rejuvenate the body. Green vegetable juices fill you with beneficial nutrients and antioxidants. I love the green smoothies. Only because of the convenience and less mess. Relaxing and de-stressing are helpful for alkalising the body. Many studies suggest that stress may be acidic to the body. How to manage stress is such a personal job, but it is worth trying new techniques to add to your 'stress management' toolkit. I find practising yoga, swimming, and walking works wonders for balancing stress. Nourishing whole foods which have an alkalising effect on my bodies pH levels does help.
3 organic celery stalks
1 Lebanese cucumber (peeled if not organic)
2 stems of kale
1⁄4 fennel bulb
1 lemon, peeled
1 green apple
1⁄2 inch slice of ginger
1/2 inch slice of turmeric
Mint or Coriander
Put all ingredients in your juicer and enjoy. To make this into a smoothie add to a blender. I like to substitute the slice of turmeric and ginger with powdered version.
