No time for fitness is something we hear many people say. One of the main reasons we don’t work out is that we don’t have the time. We are all so busy with marketing copywriter freelance work and lead a hectic social life. There is little time left over for any exercise. But that shouldn’t be an excuse! Exercise is such an essential part of our lives. It is super crucial we factor it into our daily schedules whenever possible. There are a few things you can do to make it quite easy to squeeze in some workouts. Start setting aside for exercise. Here are a few suggestions!
Work Out At Home
Do you find that travelling to and from the gym is eating a lot of your spare time? The gym commute can be annoying, especially when it is quite lengthy. Get around that by working out at home. If you have some extra space in your house, such as in a spare bedroom or your garage, you could buy some gym equipment and create your very own home gym. That way, you can enjoy all of the benefits of going to the gym in the comfort of your own home and not have to worry about a long commute to get there.
Don’t worry if you don’t have the space for all that equipment; you could instead buy a matt so that you can do some Pilates or Yoga at home.
Exercise During Your Lunch Hour
If you work in an office, you might find it difficult to fit in a workout into your mornings and evenings. Even if you have the time once you come home after a long day, you might not feel all that motivated to do anything too strenuous. There is one solution, though - you should squeeze in some exercise into your lunch hour. If your office has a city centre location, you shouldn’t be too far from the nearest gym.
Take a look at its gym class schedule and see if there are any classes that you could take part in on your lunch. Lots of gyms are now putting on short lunchtime classes to try and appeal to nearby office workers, so it’s worth checking out!
Cut Down On Screen Time
Do you seem to procrastinate quite a bit in front of screens? Whether it’s continually scrolling on your mobile or tablet device, or wasting an hour or so on your laptop, you might find that cutting down on all this screen time could open up some new windows for exercise. Even if you swap thirty minutes of screen time for thirty minutes of being active, such as going for a walk, you will find that this has a fantastic impact on your overall fitness.

Today is going to be fun 😅 Gg to the toilet and sitting on my office chair and all 🙈 Anyway the only new move for me was double-snap burpees (bottom row, second exercise), which I actually found more bearable than regular burpees, cuz the extra snap jump allowed me to “breathe” more 😀 The rest of the moves I’d already experienced in #bbg1, #bbg2, and #bbg3. In fact, I hadn’t done split squats (top row, third exercise) in a long time! Use Money As A Motivator
You might find that you are a lot more willing to make time in your day for exercise if you use money as a motivator. For instance, you might want to enrol in some gym classes that you need to pay for in advance. Because you’ve already paid for them, you should find that you make time for the workout. Otherwise, it means wasting all that cash.
Another way to use money as our motivator is to hire a babysitter to look after the kids for an hour or so in the evenings so that you can go for a run or to the gym. You will find that you want to use this free time for something useful, like working out.
Be Active In Front Of The TV
Do you enjoy nothing more than just relaxing on the sofa in front of the TV all evening? Many this is the best way to unwind through the week after busy days in the office. Even though it may be enjoyable, though, it isn't doing your fitness any good. Being sedentary for long periods of time can be very unhealthy. There are some ways to change this, though - you need to get active in front of the TV.
For example, you could do a few yoga poses while watching your favourite TV show. Alternatively, you might want to go swimming or have fun with your family. You could even lift a couple of kettlebells while sitting on the sofa.
Find A Fitness Pal
You might find that finding a fitness buddy helps persuade you to go to the gym more often. Once the two of you start working out together, you will be able to be each other’s cheerleader. Not only that, but you won’t want to feel like you are letting your fitness pal down. I’m sure you to try and make every session that you have planned, no matter how busy you are!
Leave The Car At Home
Another easy way to help you increase your daily active time is to leave the car whenever possible. You will find that you walking more often helps you to improve your step count each day. A handy way to burn more calories and fat. If you usually use public transport instead of your car, you could change your habit by getting off one or two stops before you need to. You can then walk the rest of the way. Walking to work and on the school, the run will see your daily number of steps increase, which is a great way to improve your health and enjoy all that fresh air!
