How To Manage Sugar Cravings

Removing sugar cravings sometimes only requires a few healthy tips and tricks.  The main aim of the game is to keep your blood sugar levels balanced by eating enough quality protein regularly throughout the day.  A good nights sleep is also essential along with these other tips for working effectively as a freelance copywriter and business owner.

How To Manage Sugar Cravings

Eat nourishing whole foods regularly throughout your day.

Include a variety of healthy proteins, dietary fibre and healthy fats with each meal.

Cinnamon is fantastic for balancing blood sugar levels.

Fitness and yoga help balance blood sugar levels, reduce tension, boost your energy and so much more.  My daily fitness session is a locked in, non-negotiable part of my day.  I love working out in the morning to set me up for the day.

The fewer nutrient deficiencies, the fewer cravings. Specific nutrients that seem to balance blood sugar levels include; L-Glutamine, chromium, vitamin B3 and magnesium.

Cleanse To Reduce Sugar Cravings

Cleanse and hit the reset button.  A cleanse often decreases sugar cravings. I find this an incredible way to strip back to the essentials of indeed what your body requires.  Most of the time your body doesn't need half of the food we eat.

Explore any emotional issues that may be causing the sugar addiction. I love yoga and meditation for addressing this one.

Keep sugary snacks out of your house and office. It’s difficult to snack on things that aren’t there!  Make a batch of  Cacao Chia Seed Bliss Bar.

Drink heaps of clean, filtered water.  Sometimes what we perceive as a food craving is thirst.
